ZincNyx Energy Solutions is developing a range of energy storage products based on a novel zinc-air fuel cell technology. A substantial market for these products exists in utility, commercial, industrial, remote power generation and similar applications. With powerful backing and a committed nucleus ZincNyx is expanding its product development team to capitalize on this rare opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• “Full cycle” accounts payable cycle: generate purchase orders, ordering/purchasing, matching documents to invoices; inputting invoices for payment; preparing cheques for payment; dealing with vendors
• Assist with purchasing
• Payroll: keeping track of sick/vacation days; preparing semi-monthly payroll amounts; input into ADP payroll; updating/maintaining benefits plan
• Recording of credit card and bank statement entries
• Maintaining labour and material records for eventual input into SR&ED claim.
• Manage day to day support of the office facilities
• Prepare month end journal entries and produce trial balance to financial statements
• Other accounting duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
• 2 year Accounting Certificate or better
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
• Hands on experience in all functional areas of accounting
• Minimum 2 years current experience in accounting , supervisory and office management experience
• Advanced hands on knowledge of Excel. Proficiency in MS Word.
• Proven leadership, time management and organizational skills
